Privacy Policy

Pausea does not collect, transmit or share any personal data.

There is no account to create, no server to sign in to, and no analytics or advertising SDK in the app.

What the app stores, and where

Everything the app knows lives in a database on your own phone, inside the app's private storage. It never leaves the device, and it is deleted when you uninstall the app.

• The rules you write, and whether you marked each day as kept or slipped
• Your settings: reminder time, pause length, blocking schedule
• The list of apps you chose to block, stored as package names (for example com.instagram.android)

The accessibility service

To show a pause screen at the moment you open an app you have chosen to block, Pausea uses Android's accessibility service. This is the only Android mechanism that reports an app coming to the foreground as it happens.

The service is deliberately restricted:

• It cannot read the content of your screen. It is registered with canRetrieveWindowContent="false", so Android does not give it screen content at all.
• It receives only "an app came to the foreground" events, and reads only the package name of that app.
• It never reads text, messages, form fields, passwords or anything you type.
• It acts only on the apps you selected yourself.
• Nothing it observes is stored beyond the current check, and nothing is transmitted anywhere.

You can disable the service at any time in Android Settings → Accessibility, or turn blocking off inside the app.

Notifications

If you enable the nightly review reminder, the notification is scheduled locally on your phone by Android. No push service is involved and no message is sent over the internet.

Purchases

Pausea Pro is sold through Google Play's billing system. Your payment is handled entirely by Google — the app never sees your payment details. The app asks Google whether this Google account owns the purchase, and stores only a yes/no answer locally so that Pro features stay unlocked offline.

Google's handling of your purchase is covered by Google's own privacy policy.

Children

The app is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be published at this same address with a new date at the top.

Who is responsible

Pausea is operated by Michal Valašik, Trieda Hradca Králové 34, 974 04 Banská Bystrica, Slovak Republic (Company ID 44576102). Under the GDPR this is the data controller — named here for completeness, even though the app collects no personal data and there is no server for it to be sent to. Your rights

The GDPR gives you the right to access, correct, export or erase personal data held about you. Because everything Pausea stores stays on your own device and is never transmitted, there is nothing held about you to request — uninstalling the app erases all of it. If you believe otherwise, write to us and we will answer.
